At InfoComm 2026 this June in Las Vegas, the idea of “work” and “play” will converge across the show floor through three activation hubs — Smart Workplace, Retail Experience, and The Pitch.

Instead of a traditional product-by-product layout, the show is organized around applications of technology. “Work” spans enterprise and collaboration through the Smart Workplace and Retail Experience, while “play” brings together live events, entertainment, and broadcast inside The Pitch.

“InfoComm 2026 is designed to immerse attendees in AV in action — from smarter workplaces and classrooms to live events and broadcast,” said Jenn Heinold, SVP of Exhibitions for the Americas, in a press release earlier this year. “Our show floor activations and hubs give attendees a hands-on way to see how these solutions come together in real environments.”

Smart Workplace

The Smart Workplace, powered by FORTÉ, is set to transform the Las Vegas Convention Center’s Central Hall (C5143) into a fully functional workplace. Within the hub, attendees can move through arrival and welcome areas, shared spaces, workstations, and meeting rooms that reflect modern office environments. In each area, Shure, its technology partner, will showcase the role AV and communication tools play in supporting more connected and flexible ways of working.

There will also be a Broadcast Center focused on internal communications and leadership messaging, emphasizing consistent, high-quality content delivery across teams. Another component is Workplace Intelligence, designed to bring workplace systems and data into one place to help teams understand usage, improve efficiency, and respond to operational needs in real time.

Retail Experience

Central Hall (C9425) also features the Retail Experience, powered by Bluesound Professional, BrightSign, Poppulo, and Samsung.

"Retail environments are becoming more immersive, data-driven, and experience-focused," Heinold said in a press release recently. "InfoComm 2026 brings together the technologies and expertise helping organizations create more meaningful connections with audiences in physical spaces."

The experience will include an apparel setting, where digital displays and curated content help highlight products and support merchandising, as well as a lifestyle boutique section where lighting, audio, and visual elements work to define brand identity and set the tone of the space.

From there, a café-inspired area will show the overlap between hospitality and retail, using ambient sound, digital menus, and subtle messaging. Another key feature is a modern checkout and information space, where connected systems streamline transactions and extend customer interaction beyond a visit.

The Retail Experience is also set to host multiple “Storefronts to Storytelling: The Best of Retail Digital Signage” meet-ups led by Florian Rotberg of Invidis Consulting, offering a closer look at signage strategies across retail. Sessions are currently scheduled to take place at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. from June 17–19.

The Pitch

In North Hall (N8063), The Pitch is expected to be one of the most active areas at InfoComm 2026. Powered by Diversified and supported by Netgear, RED, Shure, Analog Way, BlueSquareX, Chauvet Professional, Crestron, Grass Valley, L-Acoustics, and Legrand, the hub combines sports, broadcast, and live production to illustrate how integrated AV systems work behind the scenes.

Highlights include the Premium Viewing Lounge, where attendees can watch live World Cup matches surrounded by large-format visuals, immersive audio, lighting, and interactive elements. The Premium Presentation Lounge will host talks and live programming, while a broadcast studio space supports interviews and content creation.

Attendees can go through the Draft Room Strategy Experience, a command-center-style setup focused on tracking information and making decisions in real time. Nearby, the Broadcast Control Center will demonstrate the workflows behind end-to-end live production, from switching and graphics to monitoring, playback, and content delivery.

The Pitch also features sessions with end users, technologists, and integration experts, covering topics ranging from Glenmede’s hybrid workplace transformation and fan engagement at Oracle Park to the technology strategy behind the Philadelphia Phillies, along with broader discussions on broadcast systems, long-term AV planning, and integration strategy.

The sessions include the following:

June 18

The AVIXA TV Studio (N6845) returns this year as a working broadcast space, aligning with The Pitch’s “play” focus. Attendees can stop by to listen in on the Tech Effect podcast, see technology demos in action, and take part in meetups.

A Shift in How AV Is Experienced

Through the three activation hubs, the show floor will feel more like a series of working environments where technology is already in motion across areas such as the workplace, retail environments, and live production spaces.

What emerges is a clearer picture of where the industry is headed. Experience design is no longer an add-on but a core part of how solutions are being developed and delivered. At the same time, the lines between AV, IT, and content production continue to blur, shaping more integrated approaches to communication and engagement.

For attendees, it ultimately comes down to something simple: seeing it all in practice, not just in theory.
