Course 50 – How Sound Systems Work
Ideal for those new to audio, Course 50 introduces the core principles, terminology, and signal-chain concepts behind sound systems so learners can make better decisions about cables, connectors, microphones, and loudspeakers with confidence.

Part 3 - Extending with Lindy
Extending with Lindy is the third part of the Lindy AV Essentials Level 1 Training, designed to expand your understanding of how audio, video, USB, and control signals can be reliably delivered over longer distances and across larger systems. This course focuses on the technologies, methods, and design considerations used to extend signals beyond the physical limits of standard cables—whether across rooms, buildings, or entire networks. From point-to-point extenders to matrixed and IP-based distribution, you’ll gain the practical knowledge needed to select and deploy extension solutions that maintain performance, reliability, and scalability in real-world AV environments.

Revit for AV Systems
This course takes you step-by-step through the workflow Jerrold Stevens developed for designing AV systems right in Revit. This will show you how working in Revit can speed up the process of system design and coordination, quickly produce more accurate and detailed drawings, and create more comprehensive schedules.

Revit Families for AV
This course explains the step-by-step process of creating a new family of an AV product for use in your design projects. We’ll start with a simple rack panel, using extrusions to model the panel, then move on to the techniques for creating more complex models of devices such as loudspeakers.

Course 320 – Sound System Design – Room Acoustics
This is the sibling course to Course 310 – Sound System Design – Direct Field. It is based on the room impulse response (RIR). The RIR is the room’s acoustic signature. Learn how to understand it, measure it, listen to it, and predict it. Learn how it affects speech intelligibility and sound clarity. The principles are universal and timeless.

Course 310 – Sound System Design – Direct Field
This course focuses on loudspeaker source types, their specifications, and establishing even coverage. Pat Brown presents important aspects of all three and blends them together to produce a “logical and intuitive sound system design process.”

Course 210 – Advanced EQ
If you are ready for a deeper understanding of electro-acoustic measurements this course is for you. Additional lectures on phase, group delay, wavelets, IIR and FIR filters are included.

Course 200 – Signal Chain Optimization
This course addresses the signal chain in-depth, including gain structure, component specifications, and amplifier/loudspeaker deployment.

Course 140 – Speech Intelligibility for Public Address Systems
Most people are drawn to the sound business because of music reproduction. Ironically, sound system characteristics that are desirable for music systems can degrade the intelligibility of speech. Music quality is subjective, but speech intelligibility is objective. There are physics-based answers to the following questions.

Course 130 - Equalization
In a direct, systematic and orderly approach, this course covers the core concepts of measurement and room acoustics and applies them to the equalization process. This course will improve your proficiency on a simple 1/3-oct RTA or an advanced PC-based measurement systems.

Course 120 – Digital Signal Processing
Course 120 introduces the role of digital signal processing in modern sound systems and emphasizes that effective DSP depends on understanding the tools, processes, and real-world deployment decisions required to configure systems for specific applications.
