Ready to get involved in your AV community? We’d love to have you!

Whether you are all in and ready to commit to a leadership role or are looking to share your expertise in a one-time gig, you can find an opportunity here to make a difference in the industry.

Join an Audiovisual Committee or Council

Each industry role has a unique perspective to how we come together to serve our clients. When you join a committee or council, you can be a part of building programs and resources that are important to your needs.

Check out AVIXA's committees and councils to see if you find a match.

Committees and Councils

Time commitment: Most council members contribute a few hours of their time each month, usually at monthly conference calls, and get together in-person at the US InfoComm show in June.

Get Involved with the Audiovisual CTS Certification Program

If you are a CTS® holder, you can help the program by joining a committee or by writing questions for the CTS exams.

Apply for a Committee

Time commitment: Most of these groups meet in-person at least once a year, so travel will likely be involved.

Develop Standards

Check to see if your expertise aligns with current openings for standards task groups.

Volunteer Expectations

Time commitment: You will need to commit a minimum of two hours per month, but the time commitments vary depending on the scope of the standard.

Grow the Industry by Talking to Students

Act as an ambassador of AVIXA programs to local colleges.

Act as an AVIXA Ambassador

Time commitment: You could give a one-time presentation, or work closely with AVIXA to bring AV curriculum to schools near you.
