2018 AVIXA Oceania Distinguished Achievement Award
Purpose
The overall purpose is to call out an individual who association members and the industry recognise as worthy of a lifetime achievement award.
Programme Summary
AVIXA will annually recognise an individual for his or her significant contributions to the association.
Award
The award will be given at Integrate 2018 in Sydney. Award winner(s) or appropriate representative of the winning company/individual will attend and be recognised in front of a prestigious group of AV professionals. The award includes a plaque to be presented at Integrate 2018 and travel to Integrate 2018 for winner or representative of winning company (should they not be already attending).
Eligibility
This award is open to all current or former staff of AVIXA member companies. Recipient must not be currently actively engaged in the industry or should be in a publicly announced retirement plan to leave it. Previous award winners are not eligible for this award.
Criteria for Judging
Nominations will be judged solely on the content provided on the award application. Among the criteria to be considered by the selection committee are: service to the association directly or through the encouragement and support of their employee's contributions to AVIXA; nominee must have primarily devoted his or her career to the AV industry; nominee must agree to participate in the awards ceremony by being in attendance to receive the award; nominee should have made a significant or remarkable contribution to the betterment of AVIXA and the industry; nominee should be currently recognised as a leader of the industry or, with the announcement of the award, industry members will note favorably the achievements of the candidate; and recipient must not be currently actively engaged in the industry or should be in a publicly announced retirement plan to leave it. The Awards Committee reserves the right to withdraw an award for a given year if there are not sufficient nominations to determine an appropriate winner.
Award Submission Requirements
The nominator must fill out the following online nomination form. Not all questions may apply. 250-500 word answers are appropriate, but longer answers are acceptable. Additionally, please include the nominee's bio, photo and relevant articles.
Applications must be received by Saturday, 30 June 2018. Upon receipt, applications become the property of AVIXA. Applications will not be returned to applicants. Late applications will not be accepted.
