Faculty Criteria and Benefits
The AVIXA Faculty Program recognizes the contributions of its corps of dedicated volunteer instructors and to contribute to their professional development. In doing so, AVIXA will provide its students with the highest quality training from the industry's experts. Content & Learning Committee advises the administration of the program. There are three levels of the Faculty Program: Adjunct Faculty, Faculty and Senior Faculty. In addition, there is an honorary role known as Instructor Emeritus.
AVIXA Adjunct Faculty
An annual recognition of volunteers who:
- Support the mission and program of AVIXA
- Have presented at least one course, seminar, or workshop in the program year
- Honorees will be listed along with their company names on the AVIXA website
AVIXA Faculty
An annual recognition of volunteers who
- Have chaired, designed or facilitated an AVIXA course or InfoComm one-day conference in a program year
- Hold a valid CTS designation
- Honorees will receive a certificate indicating
status - May have tuition-free access to the InfoComm seminar and workshop program
Senior AVIXA Faculty
A lifetime recognition of volunteers who have met all the requirements for Faculty plus:
- Have served at least five of the past seven years at the level of Faculty
- Will have their name, company name, picture
and bio posted on the AVIXA website
Instructor Emeritus
This honorary role will be:
- Bestowed upon an individual who has made a major impact on the AVIXA education and training program
- Bestowed upon an individual who no longer teaches but who will still provide consultation services and guidance to the Content & Learning Committee and the AVIXA staff
- Nominated by the Content & Learning Committee once a year, but in some years no selections may be made
