AV Interns

The AV Industry has the environment that allows Griffin to grow so much professionally. It has helped develop him from the foundation up. It is continuing to develop him and is still providing more opportunities. As of now the opportunities on the horizon are the design and programming of systems. He intends to explore them and maybe one day repay the AV Industry by leaving his own mark on it.

Juan owes a lot to his career and experience within the field on audio visual technology. Throughout college, his job in this field has supported him almost entirely and it has been a wonderful experience. From the moment he began working in audio visual technology, the learning has never ceased to continue, and he is always exited for the next project and what new experiences and lessons will come with it.

Anice chose AV due to the fact that this is a career field that is ever growing, because technology is always improving and constantly needs to be upgraded and replaced. Therefore, to Anice, working in the AV industry means that she is helping to improve the quality of living for instructors, students, and students with disabilities and that above all else is what is important to her.

Daniel has seen the AV industry affect many different aspects of life. Since he works on a college campus, he sees the various ways that AV goes into practice. It promotes a connection between the teacher and student. The AV industry aides the processes of learning and teaching. The industry is centered around helping people receive information and discover new things in better ways.

By becoming a member of the AV Industry, Jerry will be equipped with the skills to turn his dream of being a valued educator into a reality. Being able to have one-on-ones in addition to whole class instruction with the youth will provide him with the knowledge necessary to lead instruction effectively. He believes that teachers should not just be contempt with allowing students to have negative perceptions towards education, and that it is their job to help them view education as a tool for advancement and transcendence.

A student at Instituto Tecnólogico Autonomo de Mexico (ITAM), Oscar is excited — and very serious — about starting his career in AV: He recently earned his CTS. For Oscar, AV is the perfect fit for his passions, and his experience has already showed him, that his AV colleagues are like a second family. He's ready to grow in what he sees as a beautiful, dynamic and challenging industry.

Juan entered the AV industry with an understanding of work ethic which he believes played a valuable role in his success in the audio-visual field. Juan began working with installation and from there he learned how to terminate and solder. He enjoys his profession because of the availability of growth in the field and growth with emerging technologies.

Griffin Towne discovered the AV industry and jumped right in by becoming a Crestron programmer when he was in high school. He loves a challenge and the opportunity face new experiences in this ever-changing industry - a perfect match for a career in AV. Griffin is set on being an expert, and at this pace, he is well on his way.

As the brother of another internship recipient, you can say that AV is in Wyatt’s blood. Watching his father and brother succeed in the AV industry has pushed him to get involved. He has a natural curiosity when it comes to uncovering how things work, especially in an industry where the technology is constantly changing.

Allison has been a student technician for 4 years and as a result has decided to pursue a career in the audiovisual industry. As an Audio and Music Production major at Lebanon Valley College, she has learned about the audio and signal flow as well as troubleshooting event setups. Allison has experience with Dante systems on her campus and as a result she has attained her Dante Level 1 certification. Along with her interest in Audio studies she has knowledge on how to manage a business as she is the President of the student-ran VALE Music Group that oversees the VALE Conference, a record label, live events and publishing.

Luis has always been curious about what goes into producing a great event. He is currently studying Mechatronic Engineering which has helped him understand all the concepts the AV industry requires knowledge of. Luis has seen how far the industry has grown but his curiosity has him excited for the future of the AV industry.

For the past three and a half years, Darin has worked for Oregon State University in the Academic Technology department providing in-class AV support for instructors across campus. Whether it be installation, over-the-phone troubleshooting or user profile management, Darin believes that he is making a difference in an instructor’s day as well as his classmates. He is grateful for his experiences and knowledge that he has gained throughout his college career.

Halston believes that the AV industry represents adaptability and that despite all good intentions, some things simply do not work as expected. Being involved in the AV industry has given him the confidence of overcoming the unexpected.

As Holly was finishing up her bachelor’s degree she was delighted by the fact she would never be “forced to sit in a room and learn again”. She found herself back in the classroom environment as she jumped into the role as an apprentice technician working towards her Limited Energy Electrician’s License for Oregon. Her training has pushed her to gain the knowledge needed to succeed in the AV industry.

Miguel believes that being involved in the AV industry is like contributing to his family since his family memebrs have all been involved with Producciones Foto Niza. He believes  that even th ough Meixico may be behind on technological advancments, contributing to their improvement is fulfilling for him. Becoming apart of the Internship Program will help fulfill his personal purpose in helping his family and industry improve.

As a Digital Media Specialist, Chantel believes that stepping back and listening to the clients’ need is very important in providing the best AV experience. Working in the AV industry means that we provided the communication to users as well as fix problems that may arise with technology. Chantel is challenged every day and believes that those challenges will help her succeed in the AV industry.

Danielle started her professional career in the social work field but as her use of technology grew, she began to question the products and equipment she used in her daily life. As a leap of faith, Danielle changed careers to the AV/IT field to become the first woman in her family to succeed in the AV industry. As the mother of an aspiring OBGYN Danielle is excited for where technology will be when her daughter is in medical school.

Alejandrino has a decade of experience in the AV/IT industry with working with computers and installing electrical networks.

At the young age of eight, Sam Horne discovered the world of AV by helping his father setup and operate a small portable sound system. The experience peaked his curiosity and has led him to being fully emerged in the AV industry as a Lead Technician. He’s excited for the opportunity to be exposed to emerging technology and help him prepare for his future in the industry.

Working in the AV industry has played a big part in Riley’s enthusiasm for school. He looks forward to working each day and the patiently waits for the challenges that he finds himself in, including having a lecture hall, full of 200 students, looking to him to fix their AV issue. Riley believes that searching for multiple clues will help solve even the biggest problems.

Three years of experience from Oregon State university has proven to help Ryan think differently about his job and the AV industry. Ryan has learned that technology is constantly evolving, leading to more unique and engaging tools to use in classroom environments. These new, unique tools have pushed him to become a problem solver in any situation that he comes across. The possibilities in the AV industry are endless and Ryan is excited to tackle them.

Simon discovered the AV world when he became a student technician at Oregon State University. His experience with technology has impacted and strengthen his personal and professional relationships. Simon is able to help friends and family with their technology problems, he also gives back to the professors who have given him so much valuable knowledge towards his education and career.

For Tommy, the AV industry has new and exciting of possibilities for people interested innovative technology. His fascination with innovative technology has led him to always stay in the loop in order to show people that the future of technology is happening now. With these new innovations, he believes that AV is making the world become smaller so people from across the world can now communicate as if they were in the same room together.

Andros has dreams of helping people make the best out of their home life with the help of technology. He believes that the home is the focal point of everyone’s lives and that home technology affects everyone around the world. Andros wants to use the AV industry’s ever-changing technology to help people share messages and experience life in the best way possible.

Karina became fascinated with the AV world when she discovered the how broad the industry is and how it homes so many different field of studies. She would like to become a part of the world that encourages end users to have fascinating experiences that will help promote healthy lives for the people of the world.
