Vivid Sydney Ramps Up Expectations for AV and Projection Mapping – and Delivers for Attendees
The world’s largest culture-music-lighting-video event has taken pixel mapping to new levels, with the help of some of the world’s best AV providers and video projector manufacturers.
Vivid Sydney is the world's largest festival of light, music and ideas and now the largest event in Australia. From 24 May to 15 June 2019, this year’s 11th anniversary event placed a spotlight – and millions of pixels – on Sydney and reinforced its position as the home of light, creativity, cutting edge music, and – increasingly each year – the highest level of AV and projection mapping.
On opening night all eyes turned to the world-famous Sydney Opera House for the start of the festival, with the Lighting of the Sails, created by LA-based artist Andrew Thomas Huang and featuring a hypnotic tribute to Australia's native plants.
