- Join the AVIXA Diversity Council for an enriching opportunity to learn about tools and strategies to become effective change agents for diversity and inclusion in the AV industry. Director of Creative Diversity for the BBC, June Sarpong, will keynote and guide a focused discussion on advancing equality, diversity, and inclusion by leveraging the power of expanding networks and industry-serving organizations.

June has enjoyed a 20‐year career, in which she has become one of the most recognisable faces of British television. June began her career at Kiss 100 and later became a presenter for MTV UK & Ireland. It was when she started on Channel 4’s T4 that she became a household name. June hosted 2005’s Make Poverty History event and presented at the UK leg of Live Earth in 2007. In 2008 she hosted Nelson Mandela’s 90th birthday celebrations in front of 30,000 people in London’s Hyde Park. June has also interviewed and introduced some of the world’s biggest names including HRH Prince of Wales, Bill Clinton, Al Gore and George Clooney.
She has worked extensively with HRH Prince Charles as an ambassador for the Prince’s Trust, whilst campaigning for The One and Produce (RED). June was awarded an MBE in 2007 for her services to broadcasting and charity, making her one of the youngest ever people to receive an MBE.
June is the co‐founder of the WIE Network (Women: Inspiration & Enterprise). This acclaimed conference has featured leading speakers including Sarah Brown, Melinda Gates, Arianna Huffington, Donna Karan, Queen Rania, Nancy Pelosi and Iman.
After living in America for eight years, June moved back to the UK in 2015, and is now a regular panellist on Sky News’ weekly current affairs discussion show, The Pledge.
June is also an author of two award winning books; ‘Diversify: Six Degrees of Integration’ and The Power of Women. Diversify is launching across USA and Canada in Summer 2019.

- The AVIXA Women’s Council provides knowledge and strategies for members of the AV industry to succeed in their current positions, as well as influence and inspire them to take their career to the next level. The forum will be led by the Hon. Ms. Àngels Chacón, Minister of Enterprise & Knowledge of the Generalitat of Catalonia, and will facilitate positive transformation for women and empower its participants to build awareness, increase employment of women in the AV industry, and stay competitive.

Àngels Chacón holds a bachelor's degree in Law from the University of Barcelona and is specialised in foreign trade. In 2017, she received her postgraduate degree in Talent Management in Organisations, also from the University of Barcelona.
In regard to her professional career in the private sector, until 2008 she worked as Export Director for East Europe and Middle East markets in the paper industry, as well as Manager Director of the Anoia Business Union from 2008 to 2011.
Between 2011 and 2015, she was Deputy Mayor and Councillor for Economical Dynamization, Knowledge and Internationalisation of the city of Igualada. During this period, she coordinated the URBACT 3D Cities project on economic growth and innovation in the health sector. Later on, she would coordinate another URBACT project, Retailink, on retail innovation in mid-sized cities.
In June 2017, she became the Government of Catalonia's Director General for Industry. Additionally, since 2008, she has been the Executive Director of the 4D Health Innovation Stimulation Centre for innovation in patient security. In June 2018, she became Minister of Business and Knowledge of the Government of Catalonia.
