You’re signing up for membership at an exciting time, and we have a new membership structure coming soon in Jan. 2018!
In anticipation of your questions, we put together answers to the most common ones. Scroll on to learn more.
Q: I already signed up for membership in 2017. How does the new membership model affect me?
A: Your account will automatically be upgraded – at no additional costs to you—to the new AVIXA member structure—either the Bronze company level or the Premium individual level. This allows you to test drive the enhanced benefits for the remainder of your membership term.
Q: What are the benefits and prices of the new membership options in 2018?
A: We’ve got something for everyone. For individuals, you can get a FREE, basic membership, or upgrade to our paid Premium and Elite memberships. For your team, based on the number of team members you have, there are Bronze, Silver, Gold and Custom membership levels. To view pricing for developed and developing countries, sign in to your AVIXA account.
Q: I’d like to become an AVIXA member/sign up my team for membership, but I’m not sure if I should sign up now or wait until 2018?
A: If you’d like to take advantage of discounts and other benefits now, you can sign up with the current structure.

Q: How does this affect the APEx program?
A: Your organization will need an enterprise membership. All levels (bronze, silver, gold and diamond) are eligible to participate in the program.
Q: Can I upgrade my existing membership before my renewal date?
A: You can if your anniversary is in 2018. Sign up to get a special invite when the new structure launches.

Q: I don’t think the Premium/Bronze levels will work for me with the automatic upgrade in 2018. Can I change that to another type of membership?
A: Yes! We will credit your existing membership payment towards the cost of your new Individual or Enterprise membership level. Any remaining balance will need to be paid.
Q: With my membership upgrade, will I have a new account renewal date?
A: If you were a member in 2017, your membership will automatically be upgraded to a Premium level (Individuals) or Bronze level (Enterprise) in 2018. If you don’t make any changes, your renewal date will stay the same.
If you sign up in 2018 or change your membership level in 2018, your account renewal date resets to the day of upgrade for another 12 months.
Q: Can I downgrade my membership level at any time?
A: Membership levels, whether Individual or Enterprise, cannot be downgraded within the same calendar year.
Q: My company has multiple locations or branches, are they covered under my Enterprise membership?
A: Yes. Please contact your AVIXA representative for more information.
Q: How do I know if my company is already a member of AVIXA?
A: Check the AVIXA Directory to see if you’re a member. If you think we’ve missed something in your record, contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Q: Do you have a student membership?
A: Students can begin exploring our industry with a FREE Basic membership. If you’re new to the industry, you may also be interested in our Premium membership that includes four introductory AV courses from our online learning platform.
