AVIXA, Producer of InfoComm India, Underscores the Event’s Status as the Country’s Leading Pro-AV Trade Show

FAIRFAX, VA – March 20, 2019 – AVIXA™, the Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association, producer of the annual InfoComm India trade show and co-owner of Integrated Systems Europe (ISE), is compelled to clarify that it has no relationship with the recently launched AV-ISE, the AV Integrated Systems Expo, to be held in Mumbai. AVIXA’s pro-AV trade shows around the world set the standard for events promoting audiovisual experiences, technologies and professional development.

InfoComm India is operated by InfoCommAsia Pte Ltd, a Singapore-based subsidiary of AVIXA responsible for trade shows in the Asia Pacific and Middle East regions, including InfoComm India, InfoComm Southeast Asia, Beijing InfoComm China and Chengdu InfoComm China. Each show includes an exhibition showcasing the world’s most cutting-edge and in-demand technologies, and a conference Summit that presents extensive learning opportunities for pro-AV integrators, consultants and end users. InfoComm India 2019 will be held Sept. 18-20 in Mumbai. Information is available at www.infocomm-india.com.

ISE is produced by Integrated Systems Events and co-owned by AVIXA and CEDIA. ISE 2019, held in Amsterdam in February, drew a record 81,268 registered visitors and 1,301 exhibitors. It is the largest pro-AV trade show in the world.

“InfoComm India continues to be the leading pro-AV event in its market. We look forward to the seventh edition of this great show in September,” said David Labuskes, CTS®, CAE, RCDD. “As AVIXA’s own market research continues to indicate — and our dedicated, ongoing engagement with the Indian pro-AV market affirms — India is a growing market for AV solutions, as well as the skills and internationally accredited certifications required to deliver them. Along with our partners at InfoCommAsia and Integrated Systems Events, we want to address any confusion between our established events and other expos purporting to serve the market. We also want to underscore our year-round commitment to growing the AV industry in India through education, networking events, standards development, and our globally recognized certification program.”

AVIXA’s 30-year-old Certified Technology Specialist™ program is ANSI accredited under the International Organization of Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) ISO/IEC 17024:2012 General Requirements for Bodies Operating Certification Schemes of Persons. ANSI is a signatory of the International Accreditation Forum Multilateral Recognition Arrangement, meaning AVIXA’s CTS certifications are now equivalent to those accredited by local bodies in more than 34 countries.

InfoComm India 2018, held at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai, drew nearly 10,000 attendees, representing a 21-percent increase over the prior year. It attracted more than 200 exhibiting companies from over 20 countries and had the support of partner organizations the All India Institute of Local Self Government, Computer Society of India (Mumbai Chapter), Digital Signage Multimedia Alliance, ICT Academy, and Institute of Indian Interior Designers (Mumbai Regional Chapter).
