Description
Course Description
4/6/2021 12:00:00 AM
Ethernet was developed as “best effort” network; however, as the complexity of the applications running on the network increased, “best effort” became not good enough. You will learn that starting with the implementation of VoIP, we have developed tools to provide “priority service” to network traffic that requires it. In this lesson, you will learn how Quality of Service (QoS) is implemented either by reserving bandwidth or by defining traffic classes and prioritizing them. While QoS, in many cases, is built into the solutions you implement by the manufacturer, it is important to understand to be able to communicate with the IT team.
