      Chris Harshfield
      Classroom Support Manager
      Ohio State University

      • Chris has been with The Ohio State University since 2011.
      • He started his career as a student classroom support technician and was hired full time in 2013 to be an AV installer and support Lead.
      • In 2017 Chris became the Classroom Support Manager; managing support operations along with 60 student staff, acting as tier 1 classroom AV support.

      Jarrod McFarlane
      Director, Classroom Technology and Support Solutions
      Division of Information Technology, Stony Brook University

      • As Director of Classroom Technology & Support Solutions at Stony Brook University, Jarrod McFarlane is responsible for the teams that support the design, installation, repair, support, training, and maintenance of all general-purpose classrooms across all campuses. 
      • He leads his organization under the principles of organization, standards implementation, and quality in customer service by follow through. 
      • As the 2016 NEASEA Student supervisor of the Year, Jarrod values the contributions of student employees, and supports a culture that enables their growth into young professionals. 
      • Jarrod is also a standing member of the Educause Mentorship Development Task Force.

      Andy Vogel
      Instructional Design Specialist 
      Ohio State University

      • Andy Vogel is an experienced instructional design specialist at The Ohio State University College of Engineering, where he collaborates with the multimedia team to develop course modules, reviews and processes eLearning materials, and conceptualizes and applies learning frameworks with subject matter experts.
      • He also partners with central IT to operate over 100 certificate-based public-facing courses.
      • With a master's degree in educational/instructional technology and certifications in diversity studies, ITIL foundation, and unmanned aircraft systems in disaster management, Andy has a diverse and relevant skill set that enables him to create engaging and effective learning experiences.
      • He is devoted to emerging technologies, such as AV and VR, and has been awarded grants for developing VR programs.
      • He is pursuing his doctorate in higher education and student affairs at OSU and enjoys playing disc golf in his spare time.
