AV for IT Professionals - Virtual Classroom

With the rise of multicast and point-to-multipoint AV distribution over increasing distances, as well as with streaming and remote capabilities, AV over IP is no longer a novelty but an essential technology.  

As IT professionals, you’re already witnessing the growth of 10G networks. Coupled with the reduced cost per port and market-driven innovations, including switches designed specifically for AV over IP, the transport of AV data is expanding and evolving. Low latency and visually lossless compression technologies have further enhanced this deployment.  

Moreover, the broadcast industry’s adoption of AV over IP, driven by SMPTE standards and the emergence of 25G networks for uncompressed signal transport, is accelerating the development of IP-native equipment and protocols. These trends foster unprecedented collaboration between AV and IT teams like yours. The need for cross-disciplinary knowledge and integration is clear. 

This course is designed to provide the IT and Facilities Professionals with the necessary tools to engage their AV counterparts and to successfully work with them to deploy AV over IP solutions that meet IT policies and requirements as well as AV users' needs.

• Jose Mozota holds a PhD in Electrochemistry from the University of Ottawa and a CTS and a CTS-I certification from AVIXA.
• With 33 years of corporate experience with Fortune 500 companies in water treatment (Nalco), structured cabling and audio visual (Legrand), he has lead sales and marketing teams as well as companies with full P&L responsibility around the globe.  He was Canada Region Director for BICSI and member of the Board of Directors from 2014-2016.
• In the Educational field, he has been a university professor and researcher at USB, Caracas, and been certified as trainer for Wilson Learning Counselor Sales Person and Leader Manager.  He has presented at Infocomm, BICSI, The Electrochemical Society and in various congresses and corporate events.
• He is also an AVIXA trainer, HDBaseT Alliance Certified Trainer and a SDVoE Design Partner.
• Jose Mozota now runs his own consulting company, Freman Solutions Incorporated, focusing on AV training, which is an interesting challenge considering the pace of change in this industry.
