AVIXA Councils exist to provide a global community of AVIXA members and other professionals committed to networking and to the support and advancement of the industry they serve. Councils also serve as AVIXA’s direct connection to the various segments within the professional audiovisual industry.
Most members contribute just a few hours each month- typically by joining our virtual meetings or engaging in discussions on AVIXA Xchange. All AV professionals are welcome to get involved! Explore our different Councils or click below to join a Council today.

AVIXA’s Board appoints a variety of Advisory Groups and Committees annually to support the future of our organization. Committee and Advisory Board membership is done through an annual application process approved by the AVIXA Leadership Committee. .
Whether you are all in and ready to commit to a leadership role or are looking to share your expertise in a one-time gig, you can find an opportunity here to make a difference in the industry.
If you are a CTS holder, you can help the program by joining a committee or by writing questions for the CTS exams.
Time commitment: Most of these groups meet in-person at least once a year, so travel will likely be involved.
Check to see if your expertise aligns with current openings for standards task groups.
Time commitment: You will need to commit a minimum of two hours per month, but the time commitments vary depending on the scope of the standard.
Act as an ambassador of AVIXA programs to local colleges.
Time commitment: You could give a one-time presentation, or work closely with AVIXA to bring AV curriculum to schools near you.
