Training Program

Network Technology in AV Systems (NAVS)

NAVS provides the basic knowledge to correctly create AV networks, troubleshoot the network, and the expertise needed to discuss AV network requirements with IT experts on an equal footing.

Course Features

In AV projects, where several departments with different interests can be involved these days, competence and communication are essential.

The NAVS (Network Technology in AV Systems) is a seminar on the subject of network technology, which was developed specifically for the needs of the AV industry.

There is often a lack of mutual understanding for the requirements of the other person. AV experts often lack the necessary knowledge to understand the IT mindset and the necessary understanding of the theory of communication in networks to gain acceptance and trust from IT.

On the other hand, IT departments are aware of few of the requirements for professional audio and video communication in networks. Last but not least, in addition to the technical differences, linguistic differences often stand in the way of a flawless Project communication in the way.

During the three-day seminar, participants will learn the following topics:

  • Theory of communication in networks and their functions to design, set up and troubleshoot networks,

  • Network analysis, network analysis tools with practical part in Wireshark,

  • Streaming, digital signage, video conferencing, security in AV networks, transmission, service level agreements (SLA), quality of service, remote monitoring management, etc.

Prerequisites

Course participants should have a basic knowledge of network technology.
