Mexico City, Mexico. October 1, 2026 – A few years ago, immersive experiences moved beyond theme parks to amaze audiences at museums, shopping centers, and even corporate venues. For integrators, designers, and producers in the region, they represent a growing field of work that requires bringing together disciplines that have long operated separately: audio, video, lighting, content, and control. Pulse at InfoComm America Latina 2026 is dedicated to these experiences: a stage for seven-minute shows that demonstrate audiovisual integration in action, as well as a forum that explores the technology, creativity, and business that make it possible.
Organized by AVIXA, InfoComm América Latina is the region’s largest audiovisual integration industry event and will be held October 21–23 at the World Trade Center in Mexico City.
Audiovisual is an experience: seven minutes of technology in sync
The show Pulse: AV You Can Feel, created by Mexican artists, is under the creative direction of Monterrey-based experience designer Omar Serna, director of new business and experience design at Serpro Producciones. For seven minutes, spatial audio, three-dimensional video mapping, lighting, and lasers work together in an automated, second-by-second synchronized integration. Serpro, LANG AG, and L-Acoustics make the experience possible through technology and collaboration.
Five Sessions to Understand How It’s Done
Between performances, the same stage will host five sessions as part of the InfoComm América Latina educational program. On Wednesday, October 21, the conversation will kick off with The Future of Experience Design, a panel discussion featuring Mark Coxon and Christine Rogers from AVI-SPL’s Experience Technology Group (XTG). They’ll begin by noting that, in an increasingly digital world, people of all generations are once again seeking physical, shared experiences, and will explain how technology can bring focus, curiosity, and wonder to offices, educational spaces, and healthcare settings.
Next, in The People Behind the Show, the Pulse creative team will explain how they built the show from scratch: the journey from concept to space, the synchronization of audio and video, and the challenges of real-time production, including glitches and last-minute adjustments. Omar Serna will moderate the conversation with Salvador Garza Fishburn and Alex Espin from P.A.N.O.R.A.M.A. Group; Alejandro Garza from Orion Studio; and Roberto Palma from Photonic Tonic.
On Thursday, October 22, From Display to Experience: How Digital Art Drives AV Technology will bring together artists and creative technologists to discuss how an idea becomes a feasible system, how they address the limits of technology, and what new relationships emerge between content, space, and audience. Participants include Patricia Saucedo of Ajua Lab and VideomappingMX; Mónica Aguilar, co-director of the HelloWorld Festival; and Job Jiménez of Zingulart, VMMX Mexico Community, and ANTICORP, with Luis Rueda of Immersive Business Direction serving as moderator.
That same day, Creating Imaginary Worlds: From Idea to Experience will explore the case of CEIBA, the exhibition at the Museo Inmersivo de Las Condes in Chile: a small team, without excessive budgets or imported talent, pushed their LED screens to the limits of their performance. Participants include Josué Ibáñez, immersive experience designer and creative director; Daniel Budinich, museum director; Omar Serna; and Renata Mérida Neris, Live Content Manager for AVIXA in Latin America.
Friday, October 23, will close with Immersive Experiences: Mexico vs. the World, a panel discussion on the Mexican industry’s position within the global landscape: which trends are arriving late, what is being done better than people realize, and where the market is headed in the coming years. Omar Serna will speak with Juanjo Albala of AVI-SPL’s XTG; Gilberto Castro of INTUS Interactive Design and InSpace; and Sergio Ramírez, founder of Demiurgo.
“Pulse encapsulates what we want visitors to InfoComm América Latina to experience: to feel what audiovisual integration achieves when audio, video, lighting, and content work as a single system, and then to understand how it was done and what opportunities it opens for their business. Immersive experiences are gaining ground throughout the region, and our community has a lot to contribute,” said Ana Elisa Benavent, Show Director of InfoComm América Latina.
Pulse will take place in the Palenque room at the World Trade Center in Mexico City, with sessions in Spanish and English, and simultaneous interpretation into Spanish. Like the rest of the InfoComm América Latina activities, it is free of charge and requires no additional registration: general registration at infocomm-americalatina.org/registrate is all that’s needed. The detailed program is available at infocomm-americalatina.org/pulse.
