AVIXA Launches Training Course to Help Professionals Navigate Broadcast and Pro AV Convergence

AVIXA's Broadcast AV: Glass-to-Glass online course explores the complete content workflow, from capture to display. Designed for professionals working across broadcast and pro AV, it helps learners understand converging technologies used in corporate studios, live events, and higher education.

FAIRFAX, Va., October 28, 2026 – From corporate studios to live events and higher education environments, spaces increasingly rely on workflows that combine both broadcast and pro AV. To help bridge the gap between these converging disciplines, AVIXA is building upon its resources for the community with the new online course “Broadcast AV: Glass-to-Glass.” This course provides a framework of the entire end-to-end workflow from the camera lens ("glass") capturing content to the screen ("glass") where a viewer watches it.

“The convergence of broadcast and pro AV is reshaping our industry, and this course provides professionals with an understanding of how broadcast operates in today's AV environment," said Pam Taggart, Vice President, Content Creation, AVIXA. “As organizations discover a need for interdisciplinary professionals, our course is a reflection of our commitment to prepare professionals to operate and support today’s industry.”

Bringing together subject matter expertise from across the AV and broadcast ecosystem, AVIXA developed the course to offer professionals the tools needed to plan, operate, and support AV and broadcast convergence systems day to day.

Designed for pro AV professionals, broadcast professionals, and those entering integrated media environments, this course will equip them with tools to communicate more effectively across teams and offer insight into how to make better informed decisions in integrated media environments.

The course will also explore the key stages of broadcast and pro AV, and how the people, technologies, and processes behind them create a successful viewer experience. From acquisition to distribution, "Glass-to-Glass" provides practical examples to connect the decisions made at every stage of production. Learners will follow the content workflow and understand how each stage contributes to a reliable operation.

"We'd like to extend our sincere thanks to Diversified for its support throughout the development and launch of this course," said Taggart. "We're also grateful to EVS for supporting the program and for its ongoing commitment to professional education in the broadcast and AV industries."

“The line between broadcast and pro AV has all but disappeared. The same expectations for reliability, timing, and quality now apply in a corporate studio, a house of worship, or an arena as they do in a network control room,” said Nathan Volchko, Director of Intake and Bid Desk at Diversified. “Diversified is proud to bring our experience designing and delivering these systems to create this training.”

“The skills required to support these environments are evolving quickly, and what’s been missing is an educational bridge that connects the disciplines and helps professionals understand the complete media workflow,” said Matthew Morgan, Vice President of Business Development, EVS. “'Glass-to-Glass' is an important step toward building that shared understanding and preparing our industry for what's next.”
