Visual Essentials Workshop
This one-day workshop brings the AVIXA™ Essentials of AV Technology course out of the theoretical and into the practical while covering visual aspects of AV technology. With a mix of instructor-led, hands-on activities and demonstrations, participants will develop a deeper understanding of how AV works.
Particular attention will be given to characteristics and properties of projectors and projection screens, correctly installing them, and aligning and configuring them in a working environment. Direct view (flat panel) displays will be the subject of similar treatment.
This course is ideal for those new to the AV industry and for seasoned industry professionals looking to brush up on their basic skill sets in preparation for the CTS® exam.

Rod Brown, CTS-D, CTS-I
Before “retiring” from AVIXA as the Regional Director for Oceania in 2017, Rod Brown, CTS-D, CTS-I has taught InfoComm University courses, presented seminars at industry events, delivered AV education webinars, and worked on the creation of new and updated learning content.
Prior to joining InfoComm, Rod was a sound and audiovisual communications consultant based in Melbourne, Australia. His company had clients in the corporate, education, entertainment, legislative, transportation, and worship areas in Australia and internationally. The foundation to Rod's expertise, particularly at a practical level, derives from his extensive experience in broadcast television, live theatre, concerts, and cinema.
