Diversity Council Spotlight – Ariel Fabius

Ariel Fabius | AVIXA

Starting AV in 1985 by an accident while transitioning to systems analysis from mechanical engineering and not liking accounting (makes two of us), Ariel and his partner designed a signature capture & verification system for a few hundred dollars when signature registration programs where expensive. He then established Análisis de Sistemas and was the 1st Latin America firm to integrate control enabled & VC rooms in 1996.

He volunteered with INTERNATIONAL COMMUNICATIONS INDUSTRIES ASSOCIATION, INC and was the 1st InfoComm Latin American Instructor. He collaborated with AVIXA in creating webinars and served as a member of the membership committee (2017-2019). As an IEEE volunteer he assisted in deploying an engineering educational project for middle and high school students globally which was later designated educational project of the year. He then instituted an apprenticeship program for students to progress careers in engineering and AV, simultaneously.

Also a pilot & history instructor: What Hasn’t Ariel Done?

Thank you for expanding the technology abilities in South America and the World!!
