Purpose
The AVIXA Oceania Young AV Professionals Awards call attention to the AV industry by recognising that young people are achieving rewarding and successful careers in the audiovisual and information communications industries.
Programme Summary
AVIXA honours up to two young AV professionals who have distinguished themselves in the industry. The awards are designed to recognise current AVIXA members under 35 years of age who have achieved outstanding success in the AV industry, made contributions to the industry and are poised to be leaders among AV professionals for years to come.
Award
The award will be given at Integrate 2018 in Sydney. Award winner(s) or appropriate representative of the winning company/individual will attend and be recognised in front of a prestigious group of AV professionals. The award includes a plaque to be presented at Integrate 2018.
Eligibility
These awards are open to all current AVIXA members who are 35 years of age or younger. Award judges and their companies are not eligible. Nominee may not be a previous winner of this award. If applicant is older than age 35 by 30 June 2018, his or her application will not be accepted.
Criteria for Judging
Nominations will be judged solely on the content provided on the award application. The criteria to be considered by the selection committee are career accomplishments included, but not limited to: commercial success as an AV business owner or leadership within an AV organisation; major contributions to the design of a new AV product(s); lead role in the production of a staged event(s); primary role in successful AV systems design or installation; production of outstanding multimedia presentation(s); contributions to his/her community; significant contributions to the AV industry; or other professional credentials and achievements. The Awards Committee reserves the right to withdraw an award for a given year if there are not sufficient nominations to determine an appropriate winner.
Award Submission Requirements
The nominator must fill out the following online nominator form. Not all questions may apply. 250-500 word answers are appropriate, but longer answers are acceptable. Additionally, please include the nominee's bio, photo and relevant articles.
Applications must be received by Saturday, 30 June 2018. Upon receipt, applications become the property of AVIXA. Applications will not be returned to applicants. Late applications will not be accepted.
