Congreso AVIXA Will Virtually Gather Portuguese and Spanish-Speaking AV Professionals
FAIRFAX, Va., Sept. 23, 2020 – AVIXA, the Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association, will host Congreso AVIXA on Oct. 20-23 to virtually connect Portuguese and Spanish-speaking AV professionals. The event will explore new trends, opportunities, and challenges in the AV industry.
Congreso AVIXA will feature more than 40 sessions and panel discussions in Portuguese and Spanish covering an array of topics, from artificial intelligence, IoT, and digital signage, to the vertical markets where AV is deployed.
"If 2020 has taught us anything, it is that physical distances are not a barrier to the exchange of ideas,” said Rodrigo Casassus Coke, CTS, AVIXA Senior Director of Development for Latin America and the Caribbean. “Latin America, Spain, and Portugal have strong ties in language and culture, which opens many possibilities for collaboration between professionals in the AV industry and other related sectors such as architecture, marketing, and entertainment. These views were the starting point for creating this Congress.”
During the opening session at Congreso AVIXA, Coke and Martín Saúl, CEO of ICAP Global and member of AVIXA’s Board of Directors, will analyze the significant changes that the professional AV industry has experienced. They will also discuss the role that AV systems, automation, and content distribution can play to help people and organizations better adapt to the reality that COVID-19 will leave behind.
In addition, Congreso AVIXA will also gather the AVIXA Women’s Council. The meeting discussion will focus on managing technologies for conference and collaboration in hybrid spaces and new business opportunities in the context of COVID-19.
