BEIJING — 18 APRIL, 2016 — InfoComm China was held 13-15 April 2016 at the China National Convention Center. This year's expanded show floor hosted 287 exhibitors from 40 countries and regions, showcasing a wider range of professional audiovisual (pro-AV) and information communications technology (ICT) solutions, including those that help businesses tap the potential of today's hyper-connected environment. Along with this exciting lineup was the inaugural Hospitality Technology Expo® (HTx®), whose co-location with InfoComm China brought cross-show visitor traffic and business opportunities.

The number of unique visitors at the annual tradeshow reached 26,728, the highest level achieved in its history. This represents a 15-percent increase over the 23,347 visitors at last year's show. InfoComm China remains Asia Pacific’s largest showcase of professional audiovisual (pro-AV) and information communications technology (ICT) products and solutions, covering both leading Chinese as well as global innovations.

"We are heartened about the continued attraction of higher numbers of visitors and exhibitors, putting us on track to build on InfoComm China's existing position as the most lauded showcase of its kind in Asia Pacific," said Richard Tan, Executive Director of InfoCommAsia. "Feedback from both visitors and exhibitors point to significant improvement in not only the range of advanced technology on show but also greater interactions leading to generation of more business leads and opportunities."

Experiential attractions, such as live product demonstrations, have always endeared visitors to InfoComm China, and they have come to associate the show as a valuable platform to learn and source for the newest innovations in pro-AV and ICT.

With more than 50 new exhibitors among the over 287 exhibitors from 40 countries and regions, as well as over 75 new-to-Asia products and at least 25 new-to-China products, visitors were able to explore an end-to-end spectrum of practical pro-AV and ICT solutions.

This year's exhibition and Summit took visitors on a journey of discovery. They were given a glimpse into the future of infinite business possibilities in today's hyper-connected world powered by the Internet of AV Things. Many agreed they came away from the show highly inspired.

"The scale of InfoComm China is getting bigger and more exciting with each year. There are always new things to see. I will make it a point to visit the show every year, mainly to meet up with customers and vendors as well as take the opportunity to look at other exhibits and take part in the Summit. It's a way for me to learn new things and enhance my professional knowledge," says Wang Qingyang, Sales Engineer, Beijing Technology Co., Ltd.

Riding on the increased attendance, exhibitors have been exuberant in their feedback on the quality of visitors, and that they were able to generate more leads and business opportunities than before. This win-win situation of more exhibitors offering a wide range of products and solutions, and attracting an increasing number of visitors, is the reason InfoComm China enjoys a virtuous cycle of exhibitor-visitor growth.

"The show is bigger than before. InfoComm China provides the ideal platform that allows for very comprehensive demonstrations and for us to showcase new solutions. At the same time, we have our technical experts on site to provide more comprehensive explanations and recommendations, so end-users, integrators or distributors in search of new solutions will find visiting the show to be rewarding," says Harry Lam, Executive Director & Chief Operating Officer, Crestron Asia Ltd.

Echoing this sentiment is Chen Shaoru, Marketing Director of Ventunz China Limited. "This is our first time participating in the show, and InfoComm China proves to be a great fit for us. The crowd is fantastic, with very targeted and professional attendees who match the exact profile of our audience. We had many potential customers and partners coming to our booth over the three days. We will definitely book a bigger space for the show next year to showcase more products and content."

This year, InfoComm China Summit, the knowledge-sharing platform of InfoComm China, was given a boost with the support and endorsement of prestigious trade associations and industry alliances, including Digital Signage Multimedia Alliance Taiwan (DSMA Taiwan), Guangdong Wise City Industry Innovation Alliance (SCIAGD) and Yixing Economic & Technological Zone — YiXing Projection Industrial Park.

Attendees at InfoComm China 2016 Summit included more than 3,846 industry leaders, researchers, academics, innovators and technology managers. Over three days, they were able to gain valuable market insights and business inspirations from various high-level discussions on a wide range of issues, developments and challenges faced by changing trends and technological capabilities as well as the Internet of Things phenomenon, in particular the Internet of AV Things.

The inaugural Digital Signage Asia Forum, a collaboration with DSMA Taiwan, added depth and extended the scope of the knowledge-sharing component of InfoComm China. More than 200 delegates attended the Forum, which saw robust discussions.

The staging of the inaugural Hospitality Technology Expo (HTx), jointly organized by China Hospitality Technology Alliance and InfoCommAsia, at the same venue has proven to be an effective strategy. Synergies from the power of two inter-related exhibitions significantly increased crossover visitor traffic and business opportunities. Visitors to both InfoComm China and HTx had the opportunity to explore and discover both pro-AV and ICT solutions as well as the whole spectrum of hospitality technology under one roof.

With sustained economic growth in the region and the continued rise of the Asia-Pacific market for pro-AV and ICT products and solutions, InfoComm China is well placed and on track to continue to grow in tandem, cementing its position as the biggest exhibition of its kind in this region. It will increasingly be an exhibition of choice for regional and international players to stage the global launch of their newest innovations.

Notwithstanding the progress made, there will still be room for improvement. The organizer, InfoCommAsia, is continuously seeking partnership with relevant and influential industry organizations where their broad membership base can be leveraged to enhance the quantity and quality of visitors, and to generate greater interactions and networking opportunities with exhibitors.

"We will not rest on our laurels nor be lulled into a sense of complacency," said Richard Tan. "Even as we wrap up InfoComm China 2016, we are already working on strategizing and planning for the 2017 edition. Our vision is to continue developing InfoComm China as a global event, not to be missed by industry thought leaders, businesses, end-users and professionals from around the world."

93 percent of the 2016 exhibitors have already booked their space for InfoComm China 2017, with space booked having exceeded that of the 2016 show. The Organizer has already begun planning the next edition, to be held 12-14 April 2017 at the same venue. More information and booking are available at infocomm-china.com.
